The Presence of Christians in the Rows of Muslims During Prayer
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 14269 )
Q1: A Christian stands among the Muslims in their prayer rows, and follows their movements, and has learned some of their recitation. Attempts were made to have him pronounce the testimony of faith, but he categorically refused to utter it. What is the ruling of the Shari'ah regarding his participation in the Muslims' prayers among them in their congregations?
A1: There is no harm in the Christians remaining in the rows, and it is not obligatory to remove them from them; because of the public benefit and the encouragement of Islam and the good reputation of the Muslims that comes from their remaining among the Muslims and witnessing their worship. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
