The questioner : He says:The questioner : Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings. Noble Shaykh, a man in a country neighboring the Kingdom receives a phone call in which they say: "Your name is so-and-so, and your mother is so-and-so," and they only tell you about the illness you have, whether it is psychological, sorcery, or an organic disease. Is this permissible?
The Shaykh : How is it permissible? I mean, a person who has not seen the patient, and the patient and the illness are described to him, and he says: "This is sorcery, or a jinn, or the evil eye"? Does he know the unseen? He is a sorcerer, or he has someone from the jinn, we do not know. In any case, this is not right; this is not good. But if you know that so-and-so has the ability to expel the jinn, to recite over the afflicted patient and expel the jinn, then go to him with your afflicted companion, and have him recite over him until what is in him is expelled. And we do not deny that some people are able to expel a jinn from a human being; rather, this is a reality. It came in the Sunnah, and the Imams acted upon it. And Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) had a high standing in this matter. The one possessed by a jinn would be brought to him, and he would recite over him, and the possessor would be expelled. Yes.
