Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of the fatwa number ( 2961 )
Q 2: What is the ruling in Islam regarding a man who adheres to one school of jurisprudence and is not satisfied with any other?
A 2: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: If he is capable of knowing the evidence and deriving the ruling from it, it is obligatory for him to follow the evidence, and it is not permissible for him to act on opinions that contradict it. His adherence to a specific school of jurisprudence is considered a blameworthy form of blind adherence. If he does not know the evidence or
is unable to derive the ruling from it, he should follow a scholar of jurisprudence in whom he has confidence, taking what he knows of his statements without belittling the rights of others or diminishing them; otherwise, he is a blind adherent. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
