Q 6: What is the ruling on disagreement among the four imams?
A 6: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: The disagreement among the four imams is based on their differences in knowledge and understanding. The one who is correct among them receives two rewards, and the one who is mistaken receives one reward, and his mistake is forgiven. This is the case with other scholars of Islam as well; such as al-Awza'i,
and Sufyan al-Thawri, and Ishaq ibn Rahawayh... and their like. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
