For the Muslim woman to recite the Qur'an aloud in her home
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 4909 ):
Q4: Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to recite the Qur'an aloud in her home with her husband's permission? And what is permissible for her regarding the recitation of the Qur'an, such as lowering her voice, covering her body, and the purity of the place, or other conditions and causes?
A4: Yes, it is permissible for her to do so, except if she beautifies her voice in the recitation
and raises her voice to a degree that is heard by someone who is not in her home from among those who are not her mahrams, out of fear of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) due to the beauty of her voice. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
