The believer does not remain in the Fire forever

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question 7 from Fatwa No. ( 5383 ):
Q7: Does the believer remain in the Fire forever? And if he believes in Allah and His angels... etc., but does not perform the prayer, is he considered a believer?
A7: The believer does not remain in the Fire forever. The major sins he commits, other than disbelief, if he dies upon them without repenting, place him under the will of Allah: if He wills, He will punish him, and his ultimate destination is Paradise; if He wills, He will forgive his sins. Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He willsإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ
[An-Nisa 4:48]
. And the one who abandons the prayer is a disbeliever with major shirk, deserving eternal abode in the Fire like the other disbelievers. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
