Image-making and carving of living beings

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 8041 ):
Q: I am a student in the first year of secondary school, and I have loved drawing since childhood. I am passionate about drawing in a way no one could have imagined. Now I have learned that drawing angers Allah, but I am deeply attached to drawing. It is not just drawing; I also love carving, for I carve faces. I have tried many times to give up drawing and carving, but Satan made drawing attractive to me. I hope
that you will guide me to the path I should follow so that I may give up drawing and carving.

A: Image-making and carving of living beings is forbidden; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the image-makers and said:
the most grievously tormented people on the Day of Resurrectionإنهم أشد الناس عذابًا يوم القيامة
Sahih Muslim 2109a
. We advise you to fill your free time with what is beneficial to you, such as reading, trading, or other useful activities that prevent you from engaging in forbidden acts. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
