The hadith: “I created you from the light of My Face”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 1754 ):
Q:asked'Ali ibn Abi Talib(may Allah be pleased with him) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), saying: "Ask your Lord for us what He created you from." So the Messenger of Allah asked his Lord, saying: "My Lord, what did You create me from?" Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said: "I created you from the light of My Face,
and I divided the light of My Face into three parts: a part from which I created you, a part from which I created your wives, and a part from which I created those of your ummah (the Muslim community) who love you.” We ask for clarification on the authenticity of this hadith
.

A: This hadith is fabricated against the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); it has no basis in the recognized books of hadith. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers upon our Prophet Muhammad, and his family and companions, and grant them peace.
