The use of loudspeakers by mosque imams in recitation
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 7784 ):
Q: Some mosque imams use the loudspeakers that are designated for broadcasting the adhan to recite, and this is in the night prayer
- the tarawih - in the blessed month of Ramadan, and since there has been much discussion and debate on the subject, with some saying: it is not permissible because there are people who are harmed by hearing the voices who are outside the mosque, such as the sleeping and the sick and the like; because the town is a quiet town and is not like other cities, and as long as the imam is able to use a low-volume speaker in the mosque courtyard, the worshippers inside the mosque benefit from the recitation without harming those outside it, and others saying: that it is permissible to use the loudspeakers prepared for the adhan; because of the benefit of benefiting from the recitation for the near and the far, regardless of the harm to some of the citizens, therefore we ask Your Eminence the President
A: If the matter is as mentioned, there is no harm in reciting the Qur'an on the loudspeaker according to need, if it does not disturb the worshippers or the reciters, but rather it is recited for people who are listening to it. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
