The third question of Fatwa No. ( 8592 ):
Q3: I have suffered from angina pectoris and internal bleeding since childhood. (a) Do I have a reward with Allah for this, since I have been deprived of my youth and health? (b) Most days I pray with tayammum because I am unable to take a bath. Is that permissible for me? (c) Can I teach students the Qur'an while I am in a state of ritual impurity?
A3: First: If you are patient with what has befallen you, you will have a reward with Allah; if you despair and do not have patience, you will be deprived of the reward. Second: If the situation is as you described, that you are unable to take a bath, then tayammum is prescribed for you for major ritual impurity. Third: If you are unable to use water for ritual purity from
a state of minor ritual impurity, tayammum suffices for you for ritual purity from a state of minor ritual impurity for reciting the Qur'an and teaching it. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
