Q2: Regarding Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 854b [Authentic in Muslim], is this hadith authentic?
A2: This hadith is authentic. It was narrated by the Imam Ahmad in [his Musnad], and by Muslim in [his Sahih], and by al-Tirmidhi in [his Sunan]. There is nothing strange about it, for Allah has the right to single out any day He wills for virtue, and to honor any of His creation He wills with what He wills. Just as He preferred the Day of 'Arafah and the Day of Sacrifice over the rest of the days of the year, and distinguished them with qualities not found in any other days.
The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created. on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it. And the last hour will take place on no day other than Friday.
خير يوم طلعت عليه الشمس يوم الجمعة، فيه خلق آدم ، وفيه أدخل الجنة، وفيه أخرج منها، ولا تقوم الساعة إلاَّ في يوم الجمعةA2: This hadith is authentic.
