The Reward and Punishment for Deeds

Machine translationRead the Arabic original

The third question of Fatwa No. ( 9087 ):

Q3: The verses of the Noble Qur'an mention the reward, reward, and punishment, always associated with the Day of Resurrection, as in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishmentوَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَى أَشَدِّ الْعَذَابِ
[Al-Baqarah 2:85]
, and
Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected.
[Al-Mu'minun 23:16]
up to the noble verses that came regarding the Day of Resurrection. The question is: Did the Qur'an, as the noble Prophetic hadiths did, contain what indicates that the reckoning of the servant begins with his entry into the grave?

A3: The reward and punishment in the Qur'an are not always associated with the Day of Resurrection; rather, Allah may hasten some of the reward for some of His servants in this world and delay some of it until the Day of Resurrection. Allah the Exalted said:
(15) Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived. (16) Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire. And lost is what they did therein, and worthless is what they used to do.
[Hud 11:15-16]
, and He said:
Whoever should desire the immediate - We hasten for him from it what We will to whom We intend. Then We have made for him Hell, which he will [enter to] burn, censured and banished.
[Al-Isra 17:18]
the verses, and He said
in the support of Musa over the disbelievers of his people:
(45) So Allah protected him from the evils they plotted, and the people of Pharaoh were enveloped by the worst of punishment - (46) The Fire, they are exposed to it morning and evening. And the Day the Hour appears [it will be said], "Make the people of Pharaoh enter the severest punishment."
[Ghafir 40:45-46]
the verses, up to similar verses of the Qur'an that indicate that Allah may hasten some of the reward in this world or place it in the grave, as happened to the family of Fir'awn , or delay it until the Hour. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad , and his family and his Companions.
