The second question of Fatwa No. ( 5113 ):
Q2: If we tell our brothers here: that knowledge of the unseen is exclusive to Allah the Exalted, so neither a messenger nor an angel knows the unseen , they say to us: the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) knows the unseen, and this Qur'an that he brought is the unseen, and... and... and... They also cite the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-Jinn 72:26-27], and the Messenger, whom Allah has chosen, knows the unseen. What is your response to this, and is it permissible to say that the Messenger knows the unseen based on this verse? We ask your eminence to answer this question?
A2: The knowledge of the unseen is exclusive to Allah the Exalted; as He the Exalted said:[An-Naml 27:65] and He said: [Al-A'raf 7:188]
But He, Glorified and Exalted is He, reveals to whom He wills of His servants, such as the angels, the prophets, and the messengers, whatever He wills of His unseen; as He the Exalted said:[Al-Jinn 72:26-27]. Among this is what Allah revealed to His Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) of revelation, including the Qur'an. This is also the case of Allah with His previous prophets and messengers. However, their knowledge of this is not from themselves, but by Allah informing them. Moreover, these texts do not indicate that Allah the Exalted taught them all of the unseen, but rather that He taught them what He willed of it. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

They also cite the saying of Allah the Exalted:
(26) [He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone (27) Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers
عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلا يُظْهِرُ عَلَى غَيْبِهِ أَحَدًا (26) إِلا مَنِ ارْتَضَى مِنْ رَسُولٍA2: The knowledge of the unseen is exclusive to Allah the Exalted; as He the Exalted said:
