Visiting the awliya (close friends of Allah) who have died to fulfill needs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7125 ):
Q2: Regarding some visiting the awliya (close friends of Allah) who have died, people go to them when something happens to them, such as drought or illness or the like, and they slaughter a sheep or a chicken at their graves so that Allah will give them rain or cure their sick person. .
A2: That is not permissible; rather, it is shirk (associating partners with Allah); because of His saying, the Exalted:
(162) Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. (163) No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims."
[Al-An'am 6:162-163]
and His saying:
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ
[Al-Kawthar 108:2]

And because it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Allah cursed him who sacrificed for anyone besides Allahلعن الله من ذبح لغير الله
Sahih Muslim 1978b
. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
