Ruling on celebrating the Prophet's (peace be upon him) birthday in the month of Rabi' al-Awwal as a means of honoring him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 3257 ):
Q1: What is the ruling on celebrating the birthday of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the month of Rabi' al-Awwal as a means of honoring him (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A1: Honoring and respecting the Prophet is only achieved by: believing in everything he brought from Allah, following his Shari'ah in creed, speech, action, and character, and abandoning religious innovation. Among the religious innovations is celebrating the birthday of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
