Who is al-Mahdi?
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 7664 ):
Q1: Who is al-Mahdi, and what are the signs of the Hour?
A1: A man from the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) household who comes before the descent of 'Isa (peace be upon him), calling to Islam. Allah establishes the proof through him and guides many people through him. If you wish to expand on this, read what Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote about him in his book [al-Mi'raj]. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
