Mention of some of the news regarding al-Mahdi and the descent of 'Isa (peace be upon him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for al-Mahdi, it is sufficient to say that he will spread justice, and justice cannot be spread except by returning to the Book and the Sunnah. This gives us hope that the governments currently in place in the Muslim world, in terms of their duration, are like what is said in the old Arabic proverbs: "A summer cloud that will soon disperse." This is because al-Mahdi (peace be upon him), as stated in the authentic hadith, is:
The world will not come to an end until Allah sends a man whose name will be the same as my name, and whose father's name will be the same as my father's name. He will fill the earth with justice and equity, just as it was filled with oppression and injustice.
And in other hadiths, it is stated that 'Isa (peace be upon him) will descend in his time, and that the two will meet in Damascus. The Fajr prayer will be established for al-Mahdi (peace be upon him), and when 'Isa (peace be upon him) sees this, he will come forward to lead the prayer, but al-Mahdi will say, "No," as an honor from Allah for this Ummah. This Ummah is the Ummah of Muhammad. As for him, he was a Messenger, as explicitly stated in the Noble Qur'an, to the Children of Israel. Allah has honored this Ummah by having a man lead them in prayer, even if he is a noble Messenger to the Children of Israel. It is an honor from Allah that they should not be led in prayer by anyone other than one from this Ummah. So 'Isa (peace be upon him) will pray behind al-Mahdi.
