Cooking food on the night of the Mi'raj and the Night of Decree and sending it to the mosque for the imam to make du'a over it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The sixth question of Fatwa number ( 4990 ):
Q6: Is it permissible to cook food and pay special attention to it on the night of the Mi'raj and the Night of Decree, and to send it to the mosque so that the imam makes du'a over it, in order to convey the reward to the deceased, according to custom?
A6 : It is not permissible to single out what is called the night of the Mi'raj and the Night of Decree for the attention to cooking food mentioned above, nor to send it to the mosque for the imam to make du'a over it, hoping that the reward will reach the deceased. Rather, this is a religious innovation (bid'ah) that should be abandoned. One should not commit to a specific state or time for slaughtering except in the case of the 'Id al-Adha sacrifice and the hady of the pilgrimage. All good lies in following the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
