A2: Celebrating the twenty-seventh night of the month of Ramadan in particular is a religious innovation (bid'ah) that has been newly introduced. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih Muslim 1718a Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim ,
and what is prescribed is to keep it alive through worship, charity, and the like, just as with the other nights of the ten days. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
