Q1: We have mosques where people gather on the night of the fifteenth of Sha'ban and recite Surat Yasin three times and recite the Mawlid .
A1 : This is a religious innovation (bid'ah), and it is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih Muslim 1718a , and his statement in the hadith:
Sunan Abi Dawud 4607Sahih (Al-Albani) . Acts of worship are based on command, prohibition, and following [the Prophet], and this act was not commanded by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), nor did he do it, nor did any of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, nor any of the Companions or the Tabi'un do it. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in some of the wordings of the authentic hadith: Sahih Muslim 1718b , and this act is not in accordance with his command (peace and blessings be upon him), so it is to be rejected and must be denounced; because it falls into what Allah and His Messenger have denounced. Allah the Exalted said: [Ash-Shuraa 42:21] , and this matter is something that the ignorant have innovated without guidance from Allah. And His Eminence the Shaykh Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Baz wrote a treatise on [The Ruling on Celebrating the Night of the Fifteenth of Sha'ban and Celebrating the Night of the Isra and Mi'raj] .

'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected.
من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس منه فهو ردAvoid novelties, for every novelty is an innovation, and every innovation is an error.
وإياكم ومحدثات الأمور، فإن كل محدثة بدعة، وكل بدعة ضلالةHe who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected.
من عمل عملاً ليس عليه أمرنا فهو ردOr have they other deities who have ordained for them a religion to which Allah has not consented?
أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ شَرَعُوا لَهُمْ مِنَ الدِّينِ مَا لَمْ يَأْذَنْ بِهِ اللَّهُ
