Breaking sorcery with sorcery

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 9295 ):
Q2: Many people say: A man is affected by sorcery, and they go to a certain person to break the sorcery, and he performs a barrier and other things, and we find that this has actually broken the sorcery. What is your opinion, and was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) actually subjected to sorcery?
A2: Breaking sorcery with sorcery is not permissible, and going to fortune-tellers or summoning them to the person afflicted with sorcery to break the sorcery affecting him is not permissible, and hanging barriers and amulets for that purpose is not permissible, even if
what is mentioned results in the sorcery being broken sometimes. However, the person afflicted with sorcery should be treated with ruqyah by reciting the Qur'an over him, such as Surat al-Fatihah, Ayat al-Kursi, "Say: He is Allah, the One," and the two chapters of protection (al-Mu'awwidhatayn), and similar chapters and verses of the Qur'an. He should also be treated with the supplications and remembrances established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), such as:
Allahumma Rabban-nasi, adhhibil-ba'sa, washfi, Antash-Shafi, la shifa'a illa shifa'uka, shifaan la yughadiru saqaman [O Allah! the Rubb of mankind! Remove this disease and cure (him or her)! You are the Great Curer. There is no cure but through You, which leaves behind no disease]اللهم رب الناس، أزل الباس، واشف أنت الشافي، لا شفاء إلاَّ شفاؤك، شفاء لا يغادر سقمًا
Riyad as-Salihin 902
, and such as
In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you from everything that harms you, and from the evil of every soul or envious eye, may Allah heal you. In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you from everything that harms you.بسم الله أرقيك من كل شيء يؤذيك، ومن شر كل نفس أو عين حاسد الله يشفيك، باسم الله أرقيك من كل شيء يؤذيك
, and this is repeated (three times); because this is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). We advise you to refer to the book [Al-Adhkar] by al-Nawawi , the book [Al-Kalim al-Tayyib] by Ibn Taymiyyah , and the book [Al-Wabil al-Sayyib] by Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah , and the chapter on what has come regarding the breaking of sorcery in [Kitab al-Tawhid] and [Fath al-Majid]. It is established in the two Sahihs that he (peace and blessings be upon him) was subjected to sorcery, and then Allah cured him of it. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
