What is the ruling on removing sorcery with another sorcery?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is your opinion, Your Eminence, regarding a Muslim removing sorcery from himself using sorcery?

Answer:
The scholars have explicitly stated that it is forbidden to remove sorcery with sorcery, and they cited as evidence for this the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he was asked about the nashrah:
It is from the work of Satanهي من عمل الشيطان
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 13:100
. The nashrah is: removing sorcery with sorcery, as was the practice of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance.
As for removing it with the Qur'an, the formulas of seeking refuge, and lawful medicines, there is nothing wrong with that, and it is not of the work of Satan. Therefore, it is not permissible to remove it with sorcery; because sorcery is not attained except through associating partners with Allah and worshipping the jinn. However, it is removed through recitation, supplications, and the permissible medicines to which the Qur'an guided and which the Sunnah brought.
