The slaughter of those who call upon others besides Allah in times of distress is carrion, and it is not permissible to eat it

Fatwa number ( 1661 ):
Q: The questioner and a group with him in the Northern Borders are neighbors to the Iraqi centers, and there is a group following the Ja'fari school, some of whom refused to eat their slaughtered meat, while others ate it. We ask: Is it permissible for us to eat from it, knowing that they call upon 'Ali al-Hasan and al-Husayn and the rest of their masters in times of hardship and ease?
A: If the matter is as the questioner mentioned, that the group of Ja'fari people with him call upon 'Ali al-Hasan and al-Husayn and their masters, then they are mushrikin (those who associate partners with Allah) who have apostatized from Islam, and may Allah protect us from that. It is not permissible to eat from their slaughtered meat; because it is carrion, even if they mention the name of Allah over it. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
