If a person's soul covets the wealth of others, how should he discipline himself to adhere to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : My Shaykh, regarding the hadith:
If wealth comes to you without coveting or asking, it is a provision that Allah has sent to you إذا أتاك مال من غير إشراف ولا مسألة فرزق ساقه الله إليك
If a person's soul covets a specific wealth, how does he now want to discipline himself and adhere to the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh : The adherence should be before this.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : It is as if he trains himself so that his soul does not covet the wealth of others. But if his soul has already coveted this wealth and a suitable morsel comes to him, if he takes it, he takes it lawfully, but he has not observed the manners of the Messenger.

The questioner : He takes it lawfully?

The Shaykh : Ah.

The questioner : If his soul had coveted it?

The Shaykh : Yes, but it is a contradiction of the Prophetic guidance.

The questioner : What is the secret, my Shaykh, of the soul's coveting?

The Shaykh : For example, a poor person has a rich neighbor or friend, and his soul is always... that this person will honor him with something... and he honored him. This is the intended meaning.
The Messenger (peace be upon him)

The questioner : It is not asking, meaning?

The Shaykh : ...

The questioner : In his soul.

The Shaykh : you yourself.
The student: It means he desires it.

The Shaykh : Not satisfied. The Messenger (peace be upon him) raises the nation to high moral character, purity of soul, and asceticism regarding what is with people. Therefore, he wants every Muslim not to... and not to let his soul covet the wealth of others, even through a lawful means. Therefore, if it comes to you and your soul has coveted and desired this wealth, taking it is lawful, but he has not observed the manners of Islam... he looks at his soul and does not desire that his neighbor give him this wealth.
And the hadith has a cause and a context, and its cause and context... that some of the Prophetic hadiths... the cause clarifies the meaning... which is not apparent to some people.
This hadith was said by him (peace be upon him) regarding 'Umar... 'Umar said:
when anything came to God’s كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا جاءه مال
Mishkat al-Masabih 1494
... So I say to him, here you see a soul that is greedy for wealth,
So I say, O Messenger of Allah, give it to him, he is more deserving than I am فأقول يا رسول الله أعطه هو أحق مني
So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
O 'Umar, Allah has not preferred you with wealth while your soul is not coveting it, so take it and possess it, for it is only a provision that Allah has sent to you يا عمر ما آثرك الله بمال ونفسك غير مشرفة إليه فخذه وتموله فإنما هو رزق ساقه الله إليك
So if we suppose it was not 'Umar... and he gave it to him, he gave it lawfully and he took it lawfully, but this soul is not the soul of 'Umar.
