A woman praying in her home following the imam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is the ruling on women praying in their homes, performing the prayer by following a nearby imam whose voice they hear through a loudspeaker? Is the prayer valid, or must it be repeated?

Answer: We do not consider the prayer of a woman in her home following the imam to be valid merely because she hears his voice through a loudspeaker; because the sound of the loudspeaker may extend a long distance, and the house may be far from the mosque, with distances and streets between it and the mosque, so in this
case, it is not valid for a woman to follow the imam and pray while she is outside the mosque; rather, she should pray for herself, and Allah the Exalted knows best.

Question: If the house is close to the mosque, or adjacent to the mosque, is it permissible to follow the imam from inside the house?

Answer: It is not permissible, even if it is adjacent to the mosque, as long as the house is outside the mosque, and she does not see the imam, nor does she see those behind him.
And it is only permissible to pray behind the imam outside the mosque in cases of dire necessity, such as if the mosque becomes too crowded for the worshippers on a Friday, for example, and some of them pray in the street while hearing the imam; in this case, praying outside the mosque is permissible due to dire necessity.
As for this woman, she has no dire necessity, she is outside the mosque, and she is not among the people of the congregation.
