Ruling on following the mosque imam for one who is inside the adjacent house
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q388: The questioner says: If the house is close to the mosque or adjacent to it, is it permissible to follow the imam from inside the house?
A388: It is not permissible, even if it is adjacent to the mosque; as long as the house is outside the mosque and you do not see the imam or those behind him, it is not permissible to pray behind the imam outside the mosque except in cases of dire necessity, such as if the mosque becomes too crowded for the worshippers on Friday, for example, and some of them pray in the street while hearing the imam. In this case, it is permissible to pray outside the mosque due to dire necessity. However, this woman has no dire necessity, and she is outside the mosque, and she is not among the people of the congregation.
