What is the ruling on the Shaykhah’s interpretation of certain verses in a manner that contradicts the interpretations of the people of the Sunnah and the community, such as their statement:

The questioner : The fourth question: SheThe Shaykh : interprets certain verses in a manner that contradicts the interpretations of the people of the Sunnah and the community, such as their statement: “Allah’s command to Ibrahim to slaughter his son was not literal, but rather the slaughter of the love of other than Allah in the heart of Ibrahim (peace be upon him).” What is the ruling on this? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : This is, without a doubt, also among the interpretations of the Sufis, which their senior predecessors established, foremost among them beingThe Shaykh : the one known as Muhyi al-Din ibn 'Arabi, who is buried there in Syria. The least that can be said about this interpretation is that it is a distortion of the words of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) and a contradiction of the scholarly consensus of the scholars of Islam, both the earliest and the later generations, that these meanings they present are not indicated by the Book or the Sunnah. Rather, it contradicts, for example, His saying (the Exalted):
And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination.
[An-Nisa 4:115]
. And among the scientific principles regarding the interpretation of the Noble Qur'an, by the consensus of the scholars, is: “Any verse should be interpreted by its like if it has a like in the Qur'an; if no like is found, the verse is interpreted by the Sunnah; if not found in the Sunnah, then by the reports of the Salaf that came from our righteous predecessors, the Companions, the Tabi'un, and the generation after the Tabi'un.” These statements that appear in the interpretation of certain verses, and the example before you in this question, are without doubt or doubt innovative. Therefore, we say:
“And all good is in following those who came before, *** And all evil is in the innovation of those who came after.”
Add to this that this example joins the previous examples in that holding fast to the path means departing from the Book and the Sunnah.
