The Shaykh: Raise your voice so the brothers can hear.
The questioner : The saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Muslim 1923 in the wording
The Shaykh : Yes.
Al-Abaylan: And in the wording and in the wording If one of these people says now, “We are not manifest over others, we are not overpowering others, and we are not standing firm over others,” while the Messenger says “until the Hour comes,”
Al-Halabi : And in a narration:
The questioner : Fighting, yes.
The Shaykh : The matter, may Allah reward you, is a relative narration that he mentioned. The Shaykh : Ali here is completely corporeal We do not actually fight; this is not something you want to discuss at all. However, that does not mean they are not on the truth, except from this aspect. If we now look at the fact that they are not on the truth from this aspect, we must consider that the Victorious Sect, which is on the truth, will remain so until the Hour occurs. In a situation like this, would they be fighting, meaning actually carrying weapons and fighting the enemies, whether they are inside or outside? Is this achievable overnight? Of course, the answer of every person of sound mind will be no. So if that is the case, we imagine that this sect either notices its shortcoming from this aspect, or admits that it is not shortcoming because it takes the cause that can lead to this description being realized in it. In that case, if it is so, does it cease to be the Victorious Sect? That is, either it takes the causes to become a fighting sect, or it does not. If it takes them, then it is not to be blamed at all, because, as we said earlier, it is proceeding on this path. And if it does not take them, then it is undoubtedly shortcoming from this angle, correct?
The questioner : Yes.
The Shaykh : Now, as you know and see, if we believe that this path we are walking on, in terms of first what we call purification and then education, can this description be realized in the victorious group without this path? Either we say it is possible, and yet we do not do it, so we are not the victorious group; or we say it is not possible except that we start from here. In that case, it is very clear that we are not obligated now, considering that we are the victorious group, to carry weapons when we do not know how to use weapons, nor do we know how to make weapons, nor do we know where to get weapons. No, let no one say that we must do this, as long as the prerequisites that should lead us to this final stage, which is the optimal attribute for the victorious group, are such that we cannot reach it by a leap, but rather by the method of Allah the Exalted in His creation. Then it does not harm us that this attribute of the Muslims fighting those who oppose them is not manifest now. If we leave this aspect after this explanation, we say that standing firm is present here, and it can be interpreted by argument. And we do not doubt that this, praise be to Allah, is present, especially in the present age, because people have begun to return to their senses, to the call of the truth, the call of the Book and the Sunnah, after they used to turn away from it. So I believe that there is no problem with the hadith of the victorious group, and that the description mentioned in it applies to the people of the Sunnah and the community truly, except for the attribute of fighting.
The questioner : Even overpowering is like that.
The Shaykh : Yes, exactly.
The questioner : Even overpowering others.
The Shaykh : This follows it; it follows fighting. In that case, we overpower them.
The questioner : Can we not conceive that overpowering is fighting in adherence to His Shari'ah, the Exalted, while they do not want that? Does not this overpower them?
The Shaykh : But is this fighting? It is possible.
The questioner : It is not fighting.
The Shaykh : It is not fighting.
The questioner : The text of the hadith says: “Overpowering.”
The Shaykh : “Overpowering” and “manifest,” but the problem is fighting.
The questioner : Fighting is another hadith, meaning.
The Shaykh : It is like that, but this is not realized now. As for overpowering and prevailing by argument, explanation, and proof, this exists, praise be to Allah. O Abu Layla, we need to pray and go; the adhan has been called.
Abu Layla : Let me see, but the brother has a question because he is traveling.
The Shaykh : There is no time left because he is going to be at half the night.
