How is it consistent to say that the days of Hajj are days of worship, given that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used the days of Hajj to call the tribes to Islam, as do thousands of preachers and orators?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : You mentioned that these days are days of worship, not days of preaching, knowing that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used them to call the tribes to Islam, and that thousands of preachers and orators use them for that purpose. What is your opinion? May Allah guide you.

The Shaykh : As for the Messenger’s calling of the tribes, that was a specific situation before the Farewell Pilgrimage, when shirk (associating partners with Allah) was still firmly entrenched in the lands of the Hijaz. After that, there were only known sermons. The Prophet (peace be upon him) began delivering sermons. As for the situation we see and observe today, it is undoubtedly a result of Muslims in most of their lands turning away from their concern for knowledge. Otherwise, if they were satiated and full of knowledge, they would have seized the opportunity and turned to the remembrance of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). There, they are occupied with knowledge, traveling, and the like. But here, they have devoted themselves to the worship of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). So our situation here is not the desired one. We hope that this will change once Muslims become aware of the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in general. By the Sunnah, I mean only the methodology and way indicated by the Messenger (peace be upon him) in the well-known hadith:
And he who turns away from my Sunnah, he has no relation with Me فَمَن رَغِبَ عن سُنَّتي فليس منِّي
Sahih Muslim 1401
. When Muslims come to know this Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), they will put everything in its proper place: knowledge in its place and remembrance in its place, and they will not mix them up, as they say in some countries, mixing Sha'ban with Ramadan.
