The Ruling on Attaching a Wig to the Head

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: And there is another change that becomes more and more apparent that it is widespread, as long as it is for the sake of beauty. It came in some hadiths:
May Allah curse those who attach hair and those who have it attached لعن الله الواصلات والمستوصلات
. The one who attaches hair (al-wasilah) is the one who beautifies herself, and she is the one who attaches what is called today a wig, a head covering with hair, which she places on a woman's head. This is either because she wants to appear every day with hair of a color different from the color she had recently, or because she does not like the color of her hair. For example, she is white and her hair is black, so she does not like this blackness that Allah created for the blackness of her mind, and she wants to take borrowed hair, which is blonde hair, for example. So she goes to the market or to the beautician and chooses the wig, a head covering for hair, according to what suits her crooked mind and small head. This falls under his saying (peace be upon him):
May Allah curse those who attach hair and those who have it attached لعن الله الواصلات والمستوصلات
. And many people may be ignorant, and some of those who issue fatwas and broadcast to the people, that there is no harm for a woman whose hair has fallen out to take artificial hair, meaning a wig, to please her husband. Some people among the preachers and counselors issue this fatwa, and they know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was approached by an old woman who said: "I married my daughter to a man whose hair has fallen out, so I want to attach hair to her hair from the hair of another." Hair that is actually borrowed from another, and there was nothing of these deviations at that time that material science helped to facilitate, meaning there was no wig. The only thing was that she wanted to take hair from some women with long hair and attach it to her hair to appear before her husband more beautiful with this borrowed hair than her actual state. So what was the answer of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family)?
May Allah curse those who attach hair and those who have it attached لعن الله الواصلات والمستوصلات
; because it is intended thereby to change the creation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for the sake of beauty. And I want to mention that some people try to seek an excuse for themselves or for their women to change something of their bodies by plucking their hair. By Allah, it causes her some distress and psychological anxiety and the like, her husband is not pleased with her. So this change is not for beauty but out of necessity. The truth is that this is playing with words, and the whole subject revolves around the husband and wife agreeing to pluck hair in any place for the sake of beauty. He is not pleased with it and she is not pleased with it, so they change the creation of Allah, and may Allah protect us, the curse of Allah in the previous hadith includes them. Therefore: I advise women, in addition to men, not to change anything of their bodies in which they contradict the fitrah of Allah for the sake of beauty.
