The Impact of the Belief That Faith Increases and Decreases on the Life of the Muslim

The Shaykh : Therefore, the Muslim, when he lives in this life, must keep this reality before his eyes: the reality that faith is capable of increasing and capable of decreasing. That which is capable of decreasing is absolutely capable of ceasing to exist. Therefore, if we know this reality, it will make us strive earnestly to cultivate this faith that is capable of increasing, because a thing, by its very nature, if one does not strive to strengthen and develop it, will regress and decrease.
