Continuation of the explanation of what is mentioned in the hadith of 'Amr ibn al-'As (may Allah be pleased with both of them): (… and Allah the Exalted will not take him until he establishes through him the crooked religion)

The Shaykh: So in these paragraphs, it is stated: ; The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) will not pass away until the news that came before the coming of the Messenger and his mission, which was mentioned in the Torah, is fulfilled: . The religion (millah) referred to here is the religion of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), but describing the religion here as "crooked" is only with regard to what entered it and what occurred in it of change and alteration, not from Ibrahim (peace be upon him) himself. For he was a nation that was obedient and monotheistic toward Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), calling to Allah as Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) commanded him. Rather, the people after Ibrahim (peace be upon him) became crooked and deviated from his religion, and over time, people began to imagine that the crookedness and deviation they were in was actually the straight religion, exactly as is the case today, with great regret, for many Muslims who worship Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) with matters that are not of Islam in any way. But Allah (Mighty and Majestic), who promised to preserve this religion, as our Lord (Blessed and Exalted is He) said: , so Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has no doubt that He will fulfill this covenant; He has preserved the Islamic Shari'ah, so it remains as it was in the time of the Messenger (peace be upon him), preserved between the two covers of the Qur'an and between the books of the authentic Sunnah. As for before the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), the Ibrahimian religion was afflicted with crookedness such that there was no longer room for anyone to know the straightness that was in the religion of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was sent with it. Therefore, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) specified that the religion of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) would be established and returned to its original state of straightness by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) informed in the Torah that when Muhammad (peace be upon him) is sent, He will bless him in his life and prolong his lifespan, so He will not take him to Himself until after he has established the Ibrahimian, Hanifi religion into which things that are not of it were introduced, making it a crooked religion. For example, examples that clarify to you how the religion of Ibrahim became crooked due to what people introduced into this noble religion out of their ignorance: We all know that the one who built the Noble Ka'bah was Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and he was the one who called people to go to Hajj to the House of Allah the Sacred, and he was the one who legislated the circumambulation (tawaf) there around the Ka'bah and between al-Safa and al-Marwah. The people remained for as long as Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) willed, years, preserving the Sunnah of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) in Hajj and the rituals. Then these rituals were afflicted with a great deal of deviation, the clearest of which is that idols began to infiltrate the House of Allah the Sacred due to the people's deviation from worshipping Allah and His oneness, as Ibrahim (peace be upon him) called them to. So they brought the idols from these lands, from the Romans, to Makkah and placed them on the roof of the Sacred House, even though the mosques, as He (the Exalted) said: , and the best of the mosques on the face of the earth is the Sacred Mosque, and yet idols were placed on the roof of the House of Allah the Sacred and worshipped besides Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). And this is, rather, the greatest of the innovations and misguidances that entered the religion of Ibrahim and the House of Allah the Sacred. And among that, the Satan made it seem good to those circumambulating around the Ka'bah that it was more pious, more pure, and more honorable for them; they claimed that it was better in the sight of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) for the one circumambulating among them to go around the Ka'bah naked, as it is said: "O Lord, as You created me." There was no distinction for them between women and men. This is a dangerous deviation that afflicted the religion of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), especially in the House of Allah the Sacred. And the woman, when she would enter the Sacred Mosque to circumambulate around the Ka'bah, would throw off her clothes just as the prostitute today does on the stage when she stands to expose herself before men. So the woman would come to worship Allah, claiming she came to circumambulate around the Noble Ka'bah in the Sacred Mosque, and she would remove her clothes piece by piece until she would circumambulate around the House naked. Why did Satan make it seem good to these groups of women and men to circumambulate around the House naked, men and women? He made it seem good to them and them because they preferred circumambulating around the Ka'bah naked under the claim that it is not fitting for the one circumambulating around the Ka'bah to be in clothes in which he has disobeyed Allah. So, these clothes should be removed. And their heedlessness was very great, because these clothes can be washed, for example, and can be changed if they wanted to perform the prescribed circumambulation by wearing clothes in which they have not disobeyed Allah, washed and clean, and so on. But Satan did not remind them, because this kind of reminder is not the habit of Satan; he reminds with evil, not with good. It is not fitting for any of you, or any of you women, to circumambulate the Sacred House with a heart that has disobeyed Allah; this is what should remind a person.
