We ask for your advice for the young people who go out with groups that oppose the call of the Salaf under the pretext of teaching them.

The questioner : Also, we want a warning from you for the young people.
The Shaykh : Please go ahead.
The questioner : Shaykh, many young people are advised by people to go with some groups in order to clarify things to these groups. As you know, Shaykh, clarification is given when a person is sitting in his home, but when a person has taken on the call to give people what he has of knowledge, how do they go with them to clarify to them? Especially since many young people have gone this way and did not return, as they joined those groups and did not return to the comfort of Salafism.
The Shaykh : This is, in truth, a reality, and unfortunately, there is no deterrent for it. We do not see any objection to a Muslim—this one who holds fast to the Book and the Sunnah—mixing with the other group, not for the sake of compromise or politics, but for the sake of calling to Allah the Exalted, as we mentioned in the previous verse:. So we do not see any objection to the caller mixing with those other groups who are in need of our call, but here is a condition that must be observed, which is:
That this person for whom it is recommended to mix with those people must first be well-versed in the knowledge of what he calls to, and second, be characterized by good morals and conduct in the etiquettes that he and his companions follow on this methodology. But if he is weak in knowledge and weak in character, we do not permit him to mix with those people, because, as the questioner indicated, they will drag him along, and as the common proverb says: "A companion is a dragger". And the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) says:: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2395Sahih (Darussalam): Your action indicates the tongue of your state, let alone the tongue of what you said, regarding what you need of knowledge, character, and Islamic etiquette.
