What is the ruling on supplicating with "May Allah prolong your life"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : They dislike the supplication "May Allah prolong your life". You have looked into some of this; when this supplication was made for them, they would say that this is something decreed, and they disliked it.

The Shaykh : I have not looked into this, and if I had, I would not have adopted it, because it contradicts what is authentic from his saying (peace and blessings be upon him)
Whoever loves to have his lifespan extended and his provision widened, let him maintain his family ties. من أحب أن ينسأ له في أجله ويوسع له في رزقه فليصل رحمه
And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) supplicated for Anas ibn Malik for abundant provision and long life in some of the authentic narrations.
Therefore, I do not see any issue with supplicating for long life, even though this is not practiced in most Arab countries except in this country, but the reality of the Sunnah is with them.
And when I hear the supplication of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying to his servant Anas, there is no doubt that he means by that long life through action ... accompanied by action ... where he (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) said
He whose life is long and his deeds are good." He said: "Then which of the people is the worst?" He said: "He whose life is long and his deeds are bad. خيركم من طال عمره وحسن عمله وشركم من طال عمره وساء عمله

So the first hadith that we raised
Whoever loves to have his lifespan extended and his provision widened, let him maintain his family ties. من أحب أن ينسأ له في أجله ويوسع له في رزقه فليصل رحمه
contains an encouragement to practice Islam ... which is a cause for two things: the first is long life and the second is abundance of provision ... it gathers the same intended meaning ... this ... for some ... because the one carrying them ... that the apparent meaning of this hadith ... is contrary ... among the Muslims ... because both provision and long life are limited in the Preserved Tablet ... when the soul is breathed in ... while he is in his mother's womb, but after ... we accept that these ... are from long life and abundance of provision and the causes of happiness and misery ... that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) ... so the cause of happiness is faith in Allah and the cause of misery is disbelief in Him (Glorified and Exalted is He), likewise ... from long life and abundance of provision ... that that was not decreed ... everything is by decree ... the Muslims ... the paths ... to the custom and avoiding the paths that lead them to ... likewise they must take
