Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out, * and provide for him from where he does not expect,” with the hadiths of the Prophetic Sunnah.

The Shaykh : I will now mention two hadiths that relate directly to the exegesis of the noble verse: [At-Talaq 65:2-3]:
The first hadith: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:: A poor man who had no one to guarantee for him.
: And they were previously people of good souls and pure hearts, so this rich man did nothing but pay him one hundred dinars, and they agreed on a set day for repayment. The man took the one hundred dinars and set out, traveling with them by sea, until the day of repayment arrived. He found that he was unable to go to the creditor to repay his debt. What did he do? You may be surprised by his action, and I am with you, but the matter is as Allah the Exalted said: What did he do?!
: This is madness without a doubt, but: “Madness has many forms”, so Allah the Mighty and Majestic said to the waves: . The rich man went out on the appointed day waiting for the debtor to come. He waited and waited in vain, until his gaze fell on a piece of wood being tossed by the waves before him. He picked it up and found it very heavy. He took it to his house and broke it open, and inside he found one hundred dinars. He was amazed by this story, and then the debtor came. Look now at how the man, with his pure heart and knowing that what he did was contrary to the natural order, ignored what he had done and paid him one hundred dinars as if he had done nothing. Look at how the well-known proverb applies to these two men in the purity of their hearts: “Birds of a feather flock together”. This rich man, when he took the wood, did not know what he had obtained from it in the form of one hundred dinars except Allah. If he had taken the one hundred dinars that the debtor handed to him and kept the first hundred to himself, no one could have argued with him about it. But his heart was pure, so he said to him: “O so-and-so, my story is that on the day of the appointment I went out to meet you and waited for you, but you did not come. I found a piece of wood and took it, and when I broke it open, I found one hundred dinars inside.” He had no choice but to tell him what he had done: that when the time caught up with him and he was unable to go to him to hand over the one hundred dinars, he did such and such, so he was the owner of this piece of wood. He said to him: . What do we understand from this story?!
We understand that Allah the Mighty and Majestic made the sea subservient to these two pious men. This is among the meanings of:[At-Talaq 65:2-3].
The questioner : Is the story authentic?
The Shaykh : The story is in *Sahih al-Bukhari*. Have you ever known us to narrate to you an inauthentic story, and in a gathering like this as well?
But perhaps you wanted to confirm, meaning to draw attention—your intention is good, in any case—hahaha.
He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect.
The first hadith: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
A man from among those before you came to borrow money from a rich man, and he said to him: “Where is the guarantor?” He said: “Allah is the guarantor.”
He said: “Where is the witness?” He said: “Allah is the witness.”
And the final outcome is for the righteous.
He took a piece of wood and bored a hole in it, and packed one hundred gold dinars into it tightly. Then he went to the seashore and said: “O Allah, You were the witness and You were the guarantor,” and he threw it into the sea.
Take this piece of wood to the town of the rich man.
May Allah bless you in your wealth, and He returned the one hundred dinars to him.
