Do you think it is obligatory to rebuild the Ka'bah on the foundations of Ibrahim? And what is your statement regarding those who prevent this, fearing that the Ka'bah will become a toy in the hands of rulers?

The questioner : The hadith in which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) describes the correct construction of the Ka'bah, and the statement of some scholars: "so that it does not become a toy for the rulers", does this raise an objection to or change this hadith, and should it not be acted upon in the case where Muslims are able to rebuild the Ka'bah correctly?!

The Shaykh : Rather, it is obligatory for them to do so when the situation is conducive to rebuilding the Ka'bah on the foundation of Ibrahim (peace be upon him). And in my belief, this is very feasible in this age, with one condition: the media today are very conducive to making the Ummah aware and drawing its attention to the obligation of rebuilding the Ka'bah on the foundation of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), in the detail that I collected its chains in *Al-Sahihah*, Volume One: such that the stone is brought into the Ka'bah, then the door is lowered and leveled with the ground, and a door opposite it is opened, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And I would have made for it two doors, with the ground as a door through which they enter and a door through which they exit. ولجعلت لها بابين مع الأرض بابًا يدخلون منه وبابًا يخرجون منه
. If this truth is published to the Islamic world and they become accustomed to hearing it, then when the one in authority acts, and he is certainly capable of implementing this if measured against these additions and improvements, such as the expansion of the Ka'bah or the Sacred Mosque, nothing will be mentioned regarding carrying out this improvement, which is expanding the Ka'bah and making it have two doors, one to enter from and one to exit from. The error may arise from surprising people with something that is not in their minds.
Likewise, I believe it could have been done with the Prophet's grave, paving the way through the media for the necessity of separating the Prophet's grave from the Prophet's Mosque. This is not hidden from everyone, because the media is one of the strongest means of influencing the masses; if it is good, it is good, and if it is bad, it is bad. But it seems that the time has not yet come for the responsible parties to implement this improvement.
