Have you looked into the hadith of Ibn Ishaq regarding the distinction between the supplication in the first tashahhud and the supplication in the second tashahhud, which is in the Musnad?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : The questioner also says: Have you looked into the hadith of Ibn Ishaq regarding the combination of the supplication in the first tashahhud and the supplication in the second tashahhud, which is in the Musnad?

The Shaykh : Yes, I am aware of it, and I am speaking against it, not for it. In *The Description of the Prophet's Prayer*—which I refer to by defining the book as the printed original—Muhammad ibn Ishaq here is anomalous, just as Muhammad ibn 'Ujlan is. When this narrator of ours added this addition, which does not include the prayer upon the Messenger in the first tashahhud, he became unique in this, unlike everyone who narrated the hadith of the tashahhud and unlike everyone who narrated the hadith of the prayer upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the tashahhud. Therefore, it is anomalous or denounced.
