Is it permissible for a woman to use a contraceptive to prevent menstruation so that she can perform the rites of Hajj?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner asks, saying: You know, may your excellence be respected, that travel for Hajj is usually part of a group or tied to specific departure and return dates. So, is it permissible for a woman to take a contraceptive to prevent menstruation so that she can complete her rites?

The Shaykh : Personally, I see no objection to adopting this modern medical method, provided one condition is met: if the doctor sees no harm to the woman in taking those pills. As long as there is no harm in that, in order to facilitate the performance of Hajj, we see no objection to it. This is because the original ruling for things is, first, permissibility, and second, there is no violation of a prohibition in this, as was the case in the answer to the previous question.
