Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner:The questioner : He says: You know, Your Excellencies, that travel for Hajj is usually part of a group or tied to specific departure and return dates; so is it permissible for a woman to take a contraceptive to prevent menstruation so that she can perform her rites?

The Shaykh : Personally, I see no objection to adopting this modern medical method, provided one condition is met: if the doctor sees no harm to the woman in taking those pills, then as long as there is no harm in it, in order to facilitate the performance of Hajj, we see no objection to it; because the original ruling for things is first permissibility, and second, there is no violation of a prohibition in this, as was the case in the answer to the previous question.
