The Shaykh : As for the testimony of a son or daughter against their father in court, it is obligatory, based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَاءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَى أَنفُسِكُمْ أَوْ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأَقْرَبِينَ
[An-Nisa 4:135]
. As for exposing this, it is forbidden, because there is no need for it, and it involves undutifulness to the parents. Yes.
