Discussion of the third condition, which is that one intends this thing that breaks the fast, along with the evidence.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, the third condition is that one intends it, and the opposite of the one who intends is the one who does not intend. This covers many things. For example, if a man has a wet dream while fasting, does his fast become invalid? No. Why? Because he did not intend it. Another man performs ablution, and during the gargling, some water enters his stomach without his intention. Does his fast become invalid? No. A man steps on a glass bottle and his foot is cut, and a lot of blood comes out of him. Does his fast become invalid?

The questioner : No.

The Shaykh : Why? Because he did not intend it. A man has a nosebleed and a lot of blood comes out of him. Does his fast become invalid or not?

The questioner : It does not become invalid.

The Shaykh : Because that is not from his action, so he did not intend it. And until the next lesson, if Allah wills.
