The Shaykh's Comment on Hassan al-Banna's Statement

The Shaykh : For example, take the Islamic Liberation Party, which wants to establish the Muslim state. Look at what Hassan al-Banna says; it is a word as if it were revelation from the sky, yet his group does not apply this word at all. He says to his group: "Establish the state of Islam in your hearts, and it will be established for you on your land." The Islamic Liberation Party does not pay any attention whatsoever to this wisdom. They tell you: We want to establish the state, and then the state will reform the people. Glory be to Allah! This is the opposite of logic and the opposite of the Sunnah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lived for many years nurturing the few individuals, until he created the core and foundation of the Muslim community. I am lenient and tolerant regarding the application of the Islam that is known to be Islam; but as for the application of the purified Islam, where are they and where is it?
