The Shaykh’s comment on Hassan al-Banna’s saying: “Establish the state of Islam in your hearts, and it will be established for you on your land,” and the failure of his followers to apply this saying.

The Shaykh : For example, there is the Islamic Liberation Party, which wants to establish the Muslim state. Look, Hassan al-Banna says a word as if it were revelation from the sky, but his group does not apply this word. He says to his group: “Establish the state of Islam in your hearts, and it will be established for you on your land”. The Liberation Party does not pay any attention to this wisdom at all. They tell you: We want to establish the state, and then the state will reform the people. Glory be to Allah! This is the opposite of logic and the opposite of the Sunnah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lived for many years nurturing the few individuals, until he created the core and foundation of the Muslim community. This also falls under the topic of: Therefore, you find that the individuals of the Liberation Party, as a group, or any group, have good and sincere people, and so on. But as a group, they are far removed from applying the Islam that is known to be Islam. I am lenient and tolerant regarding the application of the Islam that is known to be Islam, but as for applying the purified Islam, where are they and where is it?
