What is the ruling on the phrase "You have a right"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding this, O Shaykh, may Allah preserve you, what usually happens among the youth, which they call "rights"...

The Shaykh : Rights?

The questioner : Yes, O Shaykh. Sometimes a person may make a mistake with another, for example, he belittles him or says something about him, but with a good heart, he takes it and accepts it, but he says, "You have a right," because you said such and such. And perhaps dinner is at your place today, and the other one also accepts it with a good heart.

The Shaykh : I do not see this, not at all. I do not see this because these people are playing. For example, he says, "O Abdullah," and his name is Abd al-Rahman. He made a mistake and said Abdullah, though his name is Abd al-Rahman, and he says, "You have a right." He intends to say, "Take this cup. Take the milk cup," and it is tea, and he says, "You have a right." This is playing. However, if the matter is real, and the man who was wronged got angry and felt upset, and he left the gathering, and they went to appease him, and they said, "We will make you have a right," then there is no harm in that. This is real, because it is consuming wealth with a right for the sake of reconciliation between people. Is the first case reconciliation between people, or is it playing? I am asking you?

The questioner : They have... O Shaykh, they have specific rules... He said a word...

The Shaykh : The important thing is, may Allah grant you safety, I have heard about this a lot, and I see that it is consuming wealth without right. On what basis is there a fine of four hundred or five hundred riyals for this? On what basis?

The questioner : Shaykh, he is very accepting.

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner : The one who made the mistake is very accepting.

The Shaykh : The people of riba (usury or interest) are very accepting of riba. We say, is that correct? The people of gambling who gamble with millions are satisfied. You find a person loses at gambling and all his money is gone, and he is satisfied. This is a matter that has legal boundaries. Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, made wealth a means of sustenance for people, not a plaything. Therefore, one must refrain from this. And you should also advise those you see doing this. It is said, "By what right?" If your companion loves to invite you, he invites you without this. Some of them even intentionally make a mistake so that they can say to him, "You have a right." After that, from here... left, right. We start with the right, then we start with the left. When the first row is finished.
