The saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): “Do not saddle a mount to travel to any mosque except the three mosques.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And I supported this statement I mentioned earlier with a report having a sound chain in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad, in which Abu Basrah al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) met Abu Hurayrah returning from a journey. When he asked him where he had come from, he said: “From al-Tur.” He said: “If I had known, I would not have gone. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mention the hadith in different wording:
Do not saddle a mount to travel to any mosque except the three mosques. لا تعمل المطي إلى مسجد من المساجد إلا المساجد الثلاثة
We benefit from this narration that the Companion who narrated the hadith, having heard it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), understood that the hadith is general in its application. In addition to this, there is nothing that contradicts this general understanding. Please, since the food is present and you are among the fasting people, if Allah wills.
