What is the ruling on visiting the seven mosques (the virtue of prayer in the three mosques)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His EminenceThe Shaykh : What is the ruling on visiting the seven mosques? And did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) inform us about them?

The Shaykh : There are no mosques whose visitation is prescribed except for the three mosques:
The Sacred Mosque.
And the second: The Prophet’s Mosque.
And the third: Al-Aqsa Mosque.
And the fourth: The Mosque of Quba.
Yes, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in لمسجد أسس على التقوى من أول يوم أحق أن تقوم فيه
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
But one does not travel specifically to the Mosque of Quba; rather, it is visited by one who is in Medina. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to go out to it and pray in it, and he encouraged prayer in it. If a person performs ablution in his home, goes out in a state of purity, and prays two rak'ahs in it, that is the case.
As for any other mosques, their visitation is not prescribed. The original ruling in acts of worship is prohibition until evidence establishes the permissibility. For this reason, prayer in the three mosques—the Sacred Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him), and Al-Aqsa Mosque—is better than prayer in any other. In the Sacred Mosque, prayer is worth a hundred thousand prayers, or better than a hundred thousand prayers. This means that if you pray Jumu'ah in the Sacred Mosque, it is better than a hundred thousand Jumu'ah prayers. How many years of prayer is that? If you pray once, how many years of prayer is that? A hundred thousand. Divide it by fifty-five, because generally there are fifty-five Jumu'ah prayers in a year. Divide a hundred thousand by fifty-five. Where are the calculators? Write it down, write it down. Divide a hundred thousand by fifty-five. What is the result?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Two thousand years. Well, I do not think it is two thousand years. Is it two thousand years? No, no.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : I hope you do not guess, because this is a matter of knowledge, not guessing. One of you should write it down. May Allah reward you with good. A hundred thousand divided by fifty-five. Well, let us see now. Let us see.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : My brothers, calculation is a matter of certainty. There is no ambiguity. It does not differ. How much is this difference? How much?

The questioner : 1818.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Well, he has a calculator with him. We are done with him. He has a calculator and calculated it with the machine. Now, no one has a say after that. It is 1818 years, meaning
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : How many Jumu'ahs? Well, 1818 Jumu'ahs. How many years is that? Well, it appears that we will not reach it until after
Prayer in the Messenger’s Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him) is better than a thousand prayers in any other place, except the Sacred Mosque. Yes, this is the one that can be considered fifty years. In Al-Aqsa Mosque, it is five hundred years. But many people ask: Is the intended mosque the one known in the time of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)? Or does the mosque include what was added to it?
The answer: The correct view is that what was added to the mosque is included in it, no matter how much it was expanded.
In Makkah al-Mukarramah, is the intended place the mosque or the entire Haram? The intended place is the mosque, not the entire Haram. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as narrated by Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) in Sahih Muslim:
One prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers anywhere else, except The Sacred Mosque (Al-Masjid Al-Haram). صلاة في مسجدي هذا أفضل من ألف صلاة فيما عداه إلا مسجد الكعبة
Sunan Ibn Majah 1404Sahih (Darussalam)
The Mosque of the Ka'bah is the Sacred Mosque itself. In some narrations of the hadith of Abu Hurayrah:
Do not travel for prayer except to three mosques: the Mosque of the Ka'bah, my Mosque, and the Mosque of Iliya. لا تشد الرحال إلا إلى ثلاثة مساجد مسجد الكعبة ومسجدي هذا ومسجد إيليا
Sunan ad-Darimi 2:232
Iliya is the name of the city. This indicates that the multiplication of reward in Makkah is specific to the mosque itself. However, prayer in the other mosques in Makkah is better than prayer in the mosques of the surrounding area, without a doubt. The evidence for this is that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), during the 'Umrah of al-Hudaybiyyah, stayed outside the Haram and used to pray inside the Haram. This indicates that prayer in the Haram has a virtue over prayer in the surrounding area. However, it does not indicate that the specific multiplication of reward applies there. The multiplication of reward is only in the Mosque of the Ka'bah, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stated.
