The Second Congregation in the Mosque?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh: The report concerning their homes is in another report, in another athar (narration) transmitted by Imam al-Tabarani in his "Al-Mu'jam al-Kabir" from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). It states that he was in his house with two men, and the adhan (call to prayer) for the Zuhr (midday) prayer was called. He prepared for it, and then they all went out. However, by the time they reached the mosque, the people were already leaving the mosque because the prayer had ended. So he took them back to the house and prayed with them as a congregation in the house. This is an athar different from the athar of al-Hasan al-Basri.
