The Shaykh : From this chapter, the author followed it with the eleventh chapter after the hundred, which is his saying: "The chapter on the one who does not find a reward, let him pray for them." This chapter is the meaning of a paragraph from the paragraphs of the hadith of Ibn 'Umar mentioned previously, but under this chapter, the author - may Allah have mercy on him - brings another hadith, narrating it with his authentic chain from Anas, who is Abu Malik: "That the Muhajireen said: O Messenger of Allah, the Ansar have taken all the reward. He said:
No, not as long as you make supplication for them and praise them for it.
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 217
This is a rare hadith that clarifies that every society must have rich and poor, it must have those who do good and those to whom good is done, and this is what happened among the Companions. Some of the prayers" So that reached the poor, so their messenger returned to the Messenger - peace and blessings be upon him - . They said: O Messenger of Allah, the rich have heard what you mentioned to us or what you said to us, so they did what we did. He said - peace and blessings be upon him - :
That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He pleases.
Sunan Ibn Majah 1973Sahih (Darussalam)
, so the purpose of this and that is not the intention of what the advocates of socialism beautify for people today, which is complete equality among people; this is an impossible matter
We have divided their livelihood among them in this worldly life
, but the poor Muslim who finds regret in his heart that he does not find what to give in charity finds from the means and the many legislations that the Messenger - peace and blessings be upon him - legislated, that if he performed them, he would be in a state of sufficiency greater than the sufficiency of many of the rich who earn wages with money. So this hadith, the Messenger - peace and blessings be upon him - clarified that these tasbeehs, tahmids, and takbirs
If you had done that, you would have preceded those before you, and no one will catch up to you except one who does what they did
And in another hadith, he said to them - peace and blessings be upon him - :
For you is a charity for every tasbeeh, a charity for every tahmid, a charity for every takbir, enjoining good is a charity, and forbidding evil is a charity
to the end of the hadith. So, the one who does not find coins to give in charity finds a field to remember Allah, to glorify Him, and to magnify Him, and thereby he earns what Allah wills of charities, at a time when we find that most of the rich have devoted themselves entirely to gathering wealth; therefore, you find from them the least of the least who devote themselves to obedience, especially increasing in voluntary acts, because they do not find the time that they spent in the path of gathering material things. So you, O poor one, spend it in the path of remembering Allah - Mighty and Majestic - and glorifying Him, magnifying Him, and praising Him, and thereby you earn from charities what those rich are unable to match. The point in these hadiths: That the Messenger - peace and blessings be upon him - educates two groups of people, the rich and the poor. The rich who are able to help those who call for help, protect those who seek protection, and give to those who ask, so he commands them to protect those who seek their protection and to give to those who ask them; this is the first section of society, the rich. Then he raises - peace and blessings be upon him - the second section of society, which are the poor, because if they are able to reciprocate the reward with its like, that is good; if they are not able, let them speak well of the one who did good to them and let them increase in prayer for them, so that they know that they have reciprocated him. And with this amount, it is sufficient, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
