A Salafi brother in Allah lives with me, but he trims his beard and insists on doing so; how should I deal with him, given that I have already advised him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A Salafi brother in Allah lives with me, but he trims his beard and insists on doing so; how should I deal with him, given that I have already advised him?

The Shaykh : You have no obligation toward him other than advice and following up with reminders, and bringing to him the compelling evidence that obliges him, then you should supplicate to Allah for his guidance.

The questioner : A brother in Allah said: Should we cut off ties with him until he retracts from his action?

The Shaykh : No, you do not cut off ties with him. If you cut off ties with a person just because he trims his beard, that means you should withdraw to the top of a mountain.
And finally, I say: Since this is your last question: Peace be upon you.

The questioner : And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah.
