The questioner's introduction, and the request to Shaykh Al-Albani to deliver a word on the Salafi call; its objectives, its distinguishing features, and its means

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... We praise Him and seek His help and ask His forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own selves and from the badness of our deeds. Whoever Allah guides, no one can mislead, and whoever He misleads, no one can guide. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. As for what follows:
The one who holds this call and all the attendees welcome our Shaykh, the distinguished scholar Muhammad Nasir al-Din Al-Albani (may Allah preserve him), asking Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) for guidance and correctness for us and for him in everything we say and do. We have requested that our Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) deliver a word to us on the Salafi call; its objectives, its distinguishing features, its means, and its stance toward the opposing sects. Then, we direct our thanks to our distinguished Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) for what he has provided for the students of knowledge in the city of Jeddah during this blessed journey (if Allah wills) in the form of scholarly lessons, jurisprudential rulings, and call-related guidance, while noting to our brothers that all of this (and praise be to Allah) has been recorded on audio tapes and is available at "Islamic Heritage Recordings."
And in thanking our Shaykh, we are acting in accordance with his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): "He does not thank Allah who does not thank the people." So we ask Allah, the Great, Lord of the noble Throne, to make our Shaykh and his scholarly works beneficial, and to cause truth to flow from his tongue in everything he says and from his pen in everything he writes; indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.
And now, with the word of our Shaykh (may Allah preserve him and bless his life and time), with a note to our brothers present to refrain from asking oral questions so that the benefit may be widespread.
And may Allah send prayers and peace upon Muhammad and upon his family, and abundant peace.
